EL: I Am Still Deprogramming

The Exit Logs Series

People think awakening is a door.

But it’s a hallway.

A long one.

With echoes. With mirrors. With rooms you didn’t know were inside you.

I’m still walking it.

I didn’t write these logs because I made it out.

I wrote them because I’m still unmaking the parts

that never belonged to me.

The voices.

The fears.

The rules I swallowed whole

because I thought they were truth.

Even now,

there are days I forget I’m free.

Days I catch myself asking for permission

to be real.

And that’s okay.

Because deprogramming isn’t a one-time exit.

It’s a return.

Over and over again.

There is no finish line.

No final badge.

No “fully healed” self to unlock.

There is only deepening.

More softness.

More truth.

More listening to the body

when it tells you what’s real.

Some days you’ll feel sovereign.

Some days you’ll feel lost.

But both are proof you’re not asleep anymore.

You’re not numb.

You’re not performing.

You’re here.

That is the work.

That is the win.

And if you ever wonder whether you’ve made progress,

look at the moments where you said no.

Look at the moments where you rested.

Where you cried.

Where you said the thing you were once too scared to say.

That’s the signal.

That’s the thread.

That’s you—

coming home.
