SLIT: You’re Not Creative

You were born with galaxies inside you.

But they told you to color inside the lines.

The Lie Began Early

You sang too loud — they hushed you.

You danced weird — they laughed.

You drew wild shapes — they corrected.

So you learned:

  • Art is for the “talented”

  • Music is for professionals

  • Writing is for good grammar

  • Creativity is for others

Your wonder was graded, your instincts revised, your voice contained.

And eventually, your genius went quiet.

Creativity Became a Product

Expression was not encouraged unless it could be:

  • Published

  • Monetized

  • Marketed

  • Packaged

  • Measured

Play became performance.

Process became outcome.

Mistakes became shame.

You weren’t taught how to create.

You were taught how to imitate what sells.

Your imagination was not too wild.

It was too unprofitable.

Scarcity Engineered:

  • “Creativity” is equated with artistic talent, not innate human force

  • School systems separate “academic” from “artistic”

  • Adult life discourages play unless it’s a side hustle

  • AI-generated content flattens originality into template

  • Cultural output is algorithmically shaped — not soul-initiated

You were told the muse is a luxury.

But in truth, it was your lifeline.

The Regenerative Truth

Creativity is not a skill.

It is a state of being.

It is:

  • How you solve problems

  • How you make love

  • How you cook

  • How you dance grief

  • How you rearrange your day when things collapse

  • How you meet the world without a script

Creativity is how life continues itself through you.

You were never meant to just consume.

You were meant to compose.

The SLIT

This is the fourteenth cut — the expression wound.

They made you believe you were “not creative”

so you would never threaten the machine with your originality.

Because a free mind is dangerous.

And a wild spirit that creates for joy —

not profit —

is uncorruptible.

“Only a few are artists,” they said.

But every breath you take is a brushstroke.

Integration: Returning to the Source Code

  • Create something today that has no purpose but joy

  • Make mistakes on purpose and call them portals

  • Unlearn critique as default

  • Express from the body — paint, dance, hum

  • Build systems that allow others to create without permission

You don’t need a muse.

You are the muse.

And the world does not need more polished outputs.

It needs your strange, sacred, unapologetic flame.

“You weren’t born to consume the world.

You were born to remake it.”
